Shipwreck rum is a brand of rum that is produced and bottled by the West Indies Rum Distillery, located in the Barbados. The brand takes its name from the tradition of pirates and seafarers who used to store their rum supplies on board their ships, with some of these vessels meeting their fate as "shipwrecks" and losing their precious cargo to the depths of the sea.
