The blend is one which falls naturally together, with all the fruit this vintage coming from our Greenock Vineyard. Grenache, the base for this wine, has an ability to deliver sufficient power yet with an elegance and restraint on the palate which is quite unique.Grenache and Mataro were co-fermented in open cement vats to produce a vibrant and delicious backbone for our blend. We then chose a batch of Shiraz from Greenock to add a little mid palate weight without taking away the distinctly Grenache tone and lovely savoury line in this wine.
