Rene Debacque established the vineyard in 1948, it reached its present size of around ten and a half hectares in the 1980s, and it is now run by his son Vincent and grandson Thomas.\n\nThis is a Merlot-led red with a share of Cabernet Franc, raised in French oak barrels and bottled at the chateau. The 2022 shows a garnet colour, aromas of dried fig and morello cherry with a light toasty edge, and an elegant, balanced palate with noticeable but well-judged oak and a long, slightly grilled finish.
