The vines average around 30 years old and grow in sand over limestone, and the wine is bottled under the Saumur-Champigny appellation.\n\nThe fruit is hand harvested and sorted, fermented with indigenous yeasts after a short, gentle maceration, and made without added sulphites. It is then aged for about six months in concrete tanks, keeping the focus on fruit and freshness. The estate describes blackberry and blueberry on the nose, then a supple, fresh palate of raspberry and cherry with the minerality of the site and a peppery finish. A juicy, early drinking Cabernet Franc.
