The fruit for this wine was hand-picked from our estate plantings. After fermentation by indigenous yeasts, the wine was matured in new and one year old French oak hogsheads. The excellent 2021 season produced slowly ripened fruit with vibrant colors and heightened varietal flavors, accompanied by excellent natural acidity. This wine will develop in the bottle over a further seven years or more.

Color: Deep, red cherry
Bouquet: Black cherry and raspberry notes with violets, forest floor, truffles, dried herbs and spicy French oak
Flavor: Black cherry and raspberry with mushroom, a touch of earth and forest floor andintegrated, spicy French oak
Texture: Intense and complex, showing perfect balance and a long harmonious finish
Alcohol: 13.5 %
