Long and elegant with beautifully integrated natural-grape sweetness.” 93 points,, August 2021”The 2020er Juffer Riesling Spätlese, as it is referred to on the consumer label, offers a gorgeous and beautifully attractive nose of candied grapefruit, orange, fine apricot, almond cream, bergamot, smoke, Conference pear, and herbs, as well as a fine bakery touch from its spontaneous fermentation. The wine is still on the richer side of life at this early stage but already shows great balance and finesse in the smooth yet very animating and filigreed finish. The aftertaste is very precise, sappy, and hugely long. This is a great Spätlese in the making! 2030-2050” 94 points,, September 2021

Burklin-Wolf Wachenheimer Gerumpel P.C. Riesling Trocken 2020 - Wine Germany White - Liquor Wine Cave
Burklin-Wolf Wachenheimer Gerumpel P.C... $95.95
2020 Riesling Wachenheimer Gerumpel P.C. - very limitedThe Gerümpel vineyard in the village of Wachenheim is one of Germany's most famous vineyards, first mentioned in documents dated 1429. 13ha in total, Bürklin-Wolf's parcel amounts to 4.44ha. Gerümpel benefits from frequent warm winds, ensuring that the grapes dry quickly after rain, thus reducing the risk of fungal infection. This site is characterised by its capacity to produce healthy grapes, even when they are picked late. Its proximity to the Grand Cru vineyards of Forst (Pechstein G.C. is just over the fence), means that the Gerümpel profits from both the typical weatd sandstone of Wachenheim and the volcanic basalt from Forst.‘Deep and fine mirabelle, guava and vanilla nose. Concentrated and energetic with bright, stony minerality that lifts the medium to full palate. Very long, exciting finish that shoots off into the distance! Drink or hold.’ 95 points, Stuart Pigott,, July 2021.
