GRAPE VARIETIES 75% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 10% Graciano & Mazuelo SOIL Alluvium and limestone. VINIFICATION Handpicked the grapes are fermented in large, very old, oak vats, without the addition of yeasts. Aged in barriques for 6 years, being racked twice per year and fined with fresh egg whites, bottled unfiltered with a further 6+ years aging. THE VINEYARDS Situated on the right bank of the River Ebro in Haro, the Tondonia vineyard sits in a shell like depression in the terrain in Rioja Alta bordering the Basque Rioja.
TASTING NOTES. Vibrant red leading slightly towards amber. Light fresh texture with notes of vanilla, red cherry and dried berry aromas. Rich, plush, very dry, smooth and developed yet still fresh, with firm tannins, good balance and great length.
