The fruit for this wine is selected from our older estate plantings. It was fermented using wild yeasts and matured in a portion of new French oak hogshead barrels in order to maximize complexity. It is an intensely flavored and complex wine with a lovely creamy texture and natural mineral acidity. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to seafood dishes and will develop further over the next 5 years or so.
Color: Brilliant pale straw-green
Bouquet: Superbly complex showing citrus and nectarine with almond kernel, a touch of lychee and beautifully integrated French oak
Flavor: White peach with a touch of cumquat, orange marmalade and spicy French oak
Texture: Intense and complex with a lovely creamy texture and long flinty acidity
