2021 harvest conditions really suited Pinot Noir, presenting a long cool ripening window which allowed us to pick when we wanted to and use a generous percentage of whole bunch during primary fermentation.

WINEMAKING: Sauvignon blanc grapes were harvested in the cool of night and delivered directly to the winery. The sauvignon blanc grapes were immediately crushed, destemmed and pressed to stainless steel tanks to retain freshness. After ferment the wine was left on fine lees for 3 months to build texture then racked.
TASTING NOTES: Brilliant platinum with green hues.Kaffir lime, green apple skin, gooseberry, nettle leaf and lemon thyme. Clean, crisp and fresh. Finger lime, lemongrass and guava. A long textural and mineral finish.

Ripened for an extended period on the upper Tamar River's northern slopes, this is an unmistakable Riesling with aromas of citrus, spice and oyster. The palate is a drink-now style, crisp and crunchy with a touch of savoury oiliness. This Riesling is fantastic consumed young and fresh but will also age and surprise for up to ten years.

'Bernootaโ was the original name given to the homestead on the Lake Breeze property - it is an Aboriginal name for โcamp among the gum treesโ.The 2021 โBernootaโ is a blend of Shiraz (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), carefully selected from old vines on the Follett family vineyard.The wine was fermented on skins in open static fermenters for 7-10 days, followed by maturation for 20 months in American and French oak barriques. The wine shows dark fruit characters of blackberry and plums, with a hint of choc mint and smoky oak aromas. The palate encompasses all of the trademark Langhorne Creek fruit sweetness and soft tannins. Although extremely palatable now, it will mature gracefully with correct cellaring for the next 10+ years.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon uses fruit produced from 40 year old vines on the Follett family vineyard, situated on the Bremer flood plain at Langhorne Creek.
Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances.The concentrated palate has a lovely silky texture, showing chocolate and cassis flavours and a wonderfully long finish.
With careful cellaring this wine will age superbly for at least the next 10 years.

The nose is intense and oak-driven: blackcurrant, caramelised rhubarb and tomato leaf lead under layers of warm tobacco and dark chocolate. A full-bodied, savoury palate shows surprisingly tight, chalky tannin (even after three years in oak and seven in the cellar) that promises great things for those with the patience to mature it further.

100% Pinot Noir from three vineyards in the Coal River Valley: the Brinktop Vineyard in Sorell, the Pressing Matters vineyard in Richmond and the Bubb + Pooley vineyard on White Kangaroo Road. The clonal mix is 115, MV6, 777 and 2051 (D5V12). The fruit was hand picked and wild-yeast fermented with 10% whole bunches over 25 days. Matured for 9 months in a mix of concrete (30%) and French oak puncheons (70%) with 20% new oak. Bottled unfined, so vegan friendly.
