Woodlands Watson

Woodlands Wines, established in 1973 by David & Heather Watson in Margaret River, quickly gained fame with its award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon. After a hiatus in the '90s, the Watson family resumed production, focusing on red wines. Expansion in 2007 with the Woodlands Brook vineyard enhanced their Cabernet Sauvignon offerings. Today, Woodlands produces 12,000 cases annually, remaining family-owned and acclaimed for its Cabernet Sauvignon, which continues to receive awards and recognition within the Australian wine industry

Woodlands Wines' journey began with David and Heather Watson's vision in 1973 in the Margaret River region, focusing on crafting premium Cabernet Sauvignon. A brief pause in the '90s marked a period of reflection, leading to a reinvigorated focus on red wine production upon their return. The acquisition of Woodlands Brook vineyard in 2007 broadened their Cabernet Sauvignon range, cementing their reputation. Maintaining a family-owned ethos, Woodlands now produces 12,000 cases annually, celebrated for their commitment to quality and contribution to the Australian wine scene. For enjoying Woodlands Wines products, consider the type of wine you have. Generally, letting a red wine breathe before serving enhances its flavors. Serving it at the right temperature is also crucial—around 16-18°C for reds. Pairing with food that complements the wine's profile, such as red meats for Cabernet Sauvignon, can elevate the experience. Always refer to specific recommendations for each wine type, as these can provide the best experience tailored to the wine's unique characteristics and flavor profile. For detailed guidance, visiting the Woodlands Wines website or consulting with a wine expert is recommended.
