Tasting note

Champagne Bonnaire has been a family house in Cramant, a Grand Cru village of the Cote des Blancs south of Epernay, since 1932, and is now run by the second generation, Jean-Etienne and Jean-Emmanuel Bonnaire. Chardonnay is the heart of their vineyards. This vintage Blanc de Blancs is made entirely from Chardonnay from the estate's oldest vines, on two of the best parcels in Cramant: the lieux-dits Le Bateau and Les Terres de Buisson. It is fermented in stainless steel and goes through malolactic fermentation to soften the austerity Blanc de Blancs can show when young. The 2014 then spent six and a half years on its lees before disgorgement in December 2021, with a low dosage of 5 g/L. Expect a very fine mousse, chalky minerality and citrus, finishing long with real presence. Serve well chilled, with oysters, scallops or a hard, nutty cheese.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
