Tasting note
Domaine Tariquet grows, harvests and bottles this Bas-Armagnac on its own estate, using Folle Blanche alone. The grape may be the oldest in the Armagnac appellation yet now covers only about 5% of its vineyards; the Grassa family, fond of its aromatic qualities, reintroduced it at Tariquet in the 1980s.
At a minimum of 12 years the Folle Blanche reaches a level of maturity with a very assertive style and a precise, almost iodised palate. Like the 8, 15 and 25 year old Pure Folle Blanche bottlings, it is bottled at cask strength.
Tasting. Deep gold in colour. Fresh fruit on the nose, orange, lemon and apple, together with flowers. On the palate the first freshness builds into candied pineapple, nutmeg, white pepper and citrus zest, then a hint of liquorice coats the fruit and spice before a walnut note, the result of the long ageing Tariquet calls rancio.
Serving. At room temperature, on its own or with a fruit dessert or a meringue pastry. More estates and ages are in our Armagnac collection.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
