Tasting note

Distilled at Linkwood on 17 February 2014 and bottled in August 2025, this 11-year-old single cask spent its final year in a Jamaican rum cask. It is bottled at natural cask strength of 55.8%, without chill filtration or added colouring. The cask is a personal one for Finn Thomson. It honours his late grandmother Rosemary, who came to Scotland from Jamaica to study at St Andrews and settled in Perth, and it is the first in his series of Jamaican rum finishes. Linkwood's light, floral and naturally fruity spirit, with crisp apple, pear, soft honey and blossom, is lifted by the tropical notes of the rum and a strong streak of demerara sweetness. Finn Thomson Whisky is an independent bottler launched in 2022, drawing on a family whisky story that began at Grandtully in Perthshire in 1772.
