Tasting note

Part of The Golden Cut Collection from Cooper's Choice, this Tomatin was distilled in 2013 and bottled at 11 years old. After maturing in American oak it was finished in an Oloroso sherry cask, which builds a deep, nutty and spicy character around the distillery's fruity, approachable Highland style. Every Golden Cut bottling is presented at 50%, without chill filtration or added colouring, and this release runs to 342 bottles. The nose offers festive spices, candied nuts and robust oak. The palate brings fruit cake, poached orchard fruit and nut brittle, and the finish lingers with sweetness, sherried oak and spiced fruit. Cooper's Choice is the range of The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, the independent bottler founded in 1992 by Brian Crook.
