Tasting note
Johnny Drum Private Stock is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Distillery in Kentucky, bottled at 101 proof, which is 50.5%. Willett says the brand was developed by Thompson Willett in the 1960s, and it keeps its retro look and a rye forward flavour today.
Willett publishes two mash bills for it: 65% of the whiskey comes from a recipe of 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% barley, and 35% from a higher rye recipe of 52% corn, 38% rye and 10% barley. Both are entered into barrel at 125 proof.
Colour. Copper with a gold hue.
Nose. Shellac briefly, giving way to toffee apple and mixed nuts, with clove and vanilla.
Palate. Concentrated dried fruit, caramel, sweet spice and sandalwood, creamy and lightly prickly, yet well balanced at this strength.
Finish. Soft and dry, with vanilla oak, crème caramel and a fading note of liquorice strap.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
