Tasting note
Rocche dei Manzoni Bricco San Pietro 2015 is a nebbiolo from Monforte d'Alba in Piedmont, north west Italy.
Bricco San Pietro is one of the named cru sites of Monforte d'Alba, and Monforte is the commune whose wines are usually described as the most structured and the slowest to open of the Barolo villages. Podere Rocche dei Manzoni has worked here for decades. Nebbiolo is a pale-coloured grape that produces very tannic, highly aromatic wine, which is why it needs long ageing before it becomes generous.
Decant it well ahead and serve at cool room temperature with braised beef, game or truffles.
