Tasting note
Bakery Hill's peated single malt, bottled at cask strength, is the heavyweight of the Melbourne distillery's range. Its barley is peated in northern Scotland in a Highland style, so the smoke is earthy and rounded, with little iodine character. Bakery Hill chose a moderate peating level so the sweet, rich malt still shows through.
The grain is milled, brewed and distilled at the distillery, then matured for up to eight years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Each barrel is bottled separately, with no blending and no dilution.
Nose. Restrained, rich peat with a natural, leathery earthiness and touches of kumquat and fruit mince tart; sweet without being cloying.
Palate. Tobacco leaf and earth, with layer after layer of smoky peat that stays on the lips.
Finish. Very long and complex.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
