Tasting note
Rhum Barbancourt has been making rum in Haiti for more than 160 years, and the Réserve du Domaine, or Estate Reserve, is its 15 year old. The house calls it a rare edition, distilled and then aged for 15 years in French oak barrels. The family's French origins explain the spelling Rhum on the label.
The sugar cane is grown on the Barbancourt estate and elsewhere in Haiti and cut by hand between November and June. It is milled three times and fermented for around 72 hours with a yeast developed in house, then distilled twice in column stills, rested in Limousin oak and filtered for clarity before bottling.
Tasting. Barbancourt describes it as fresh, with touches of vanilla, citrus and spice. It pours a brilliant mahogany amber, with caramelised brown sugar, light molasses, raisin, dried apricot and orange on the nose, a little cane earthiness and a hint of clove and cinnamon. The body is medium, and the long finish adds cocoa and a lasting sweetness.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
