Tasting note
Supple and complex, with finesse and power held in balance: that is how Domaine Tariquet sums up the Bas-Armagnac inside its XO Équilibre decanter. The estate at Eauze grows and harvests the grapes and bottles the Armagnac itself.
The blend brings together eaux-de-vie with an average age of 15 years, made from 60% Ugni Blanc and 40% Baco. Regulations require at least 10 years of ageing for an XO, so this sits well past the minimum. Its colour is natural, coming only from the oak.
Expect an amber spirit with a heady nose of dried fruit, quince paste and dried flowers, turning towards coconut as it opens. In the mouth it feels rich and honeyed, with smooth tannins where barrel and fruit meet, then prune, almond and rancio. It finishes long, a little toasted, with a light leathery edge.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
