Tasting note
This 1973 Petite Champagne from Grosperrin, bottled at 48.5%, comes with an unusual story. It came from a family of notaries settled in Cognac for generations. The father bought the lot in January 1974 from a client who was then president of one of the major cognac houses, so it began life in that house's distillery and cellars.
When he died, his widow and son could not agree on the estate, and the succession stalled for many years until Grosperrin offered a way through. Held under State control from 25 January 1974 in an old, very damp cellar on the banks of the Charente, a building that is now the Cognac Museum, it is what the house calls a truly "sentimental" cognac.
Tasting. Old gold, almost amber. The nose is gourmand, with ripe quetsche and mirabelle plums, cardamom, turmeric and black pepper, warm cedar and sandalwood, all wrapped in the rancio of a cognac near its peak. On the palate the fruit returns as ripe plum, prune and cinnamon chocolate, with nutmeg and tobacco spice.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
