Tasting note
Grosperrin's Cépages VSOP is a Grande Champagne cognac blended from three grape varieties, Colombard, Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc, all grown in Grande Champagne, the premier cru. Cépages is simply the French word for grape varieties.
In the glass. Fresh grape and apple first, then acacia honey and dried flowers. Pepper and vanilla follow, with a creamy, buttery texture, spiced oak and a toffee finish.
Each grape plays its part: Colombard adds depth and power, Ugni Blanc gives the frame and balance, and Folle Blanche brings lift and finesse. The blend draws on the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages, and the spirit spent at least four years in French oak after distillation.
Grosperrin works with more than 150 growers across all six crus of the appellation. Compare this VSOP with older bottlings in our cognac collection.
