Tasting note

A tasting pack of four 50ml whiskies that shows how much the choice of oak shapes a single malt. Isle of Raasay Distillery took the same lightly peated Raasay spirit and fully matured it in virgin casks made from four different species of oak, each bottled at 50.7%. Quercus humboldtii, Colombian oak, gives caramel and herbal wood smoke, then creme brulee and brown sugar. Quercus petraea, Hungarian oak with a tight grain, brings peat smoke, savoury spice and cloves. Quercus robur, French oak with a wider grain, offers warm rich fruit and dried raspberries with smoke and lingering spice. Quercus muehlenbergii, heavily toasted and charred North American Chinkapin oak, shows dark fruit, maple syrup and smoky bacon with ginger and cinnamon. Taste them side by side, neat, from left to right.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.

We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
