Tasting note
Normandin-Mercier describes its white Pineau des Charentes as fresh and fruity with a touch of rancio, and suggests serving it very cold, without ice, as an aperitif or as a dessert wine. It is bottled at 17% in a 75cl bottle.
Nose. Rich and layered: lime blossom, vine flower, peach, plum and fig, then almond, prune, quince paste, vanilla and honey.
Palate. Full bodied and generous, with a concentrated flavour built on fresh fruit, a delicate sweetness and a well integrated spirit.
Colour. Pale yellow deepening to dark gold, with thick legs.
The pineau is two thirds fresh, well ripened must from Ugni Blanc and Montils grapes and one third young cognac, aged together in oak; only after that wait is the blend properly married. More from the house, including its cognacs, is in our Normandin-Mercier collection.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
