Tasting note
This is Normandin-Mercier's Grande Champagne XO dressed for the table: the same cognac as the standard bottle, poured into a carafe that sits in its own wooden frame. Grande Champagne is the first growth of the Cognac region, and the house describes this XO as drinking like a cognac of 30 years. It is bottled at 40%.
Character. Full and mellow, yet with a little fire left in it, which the house credits to ageing in seasoned, well-used casks. The colour is deep gold with amber lights.
Nose. Mostly fruit: hazelnut and almond among the dried fruits, candied fruit and citrus. Cinnamon and vanilla bring spice, honey and light toffee bring sweetness, and behind them sit rancio with a hint of port, smoke, chocolate, brioche, dried herbs, light tobacco and oak.
Palate. Broad and round, with dried fruit, spice, wood and roasted notes over a long finish. Complex and elegant, it rewards being sipped slowly. Browse the house in our Normandin-Mercier collection.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
