Tasting note
La Salamandre's hazelnut liqueur begins with roasting. A raw hazelnut is quiet; heated, it gives up the toasty, praline side that makes the nut worth having, so at the distillery in Sarlat the roast comes first. The roasted nuts are then macerated in alcohol and distilled into a concentrated hazelnut "spirit", which is married with sugar syrup. The finished liqueur is 18%.
Tasting. Soft and round, with toasted hazelnut and praline that stay long in the mouth, without the heat of a full strength eau de vie.
Serving. The distillery suggests pouring a little into the bottom of a still warm cup of coffee, serving it chilled over ice, making a kir with dry white wine, or drizzling it over vanilla ice cream, a chocolate fondant or a crêpe. Like the house's other liqueurs, it improves with time.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
