Tasting note
Edition Sigel is a Swiss Alpine single malt from Säntis Malt, the whisky made by the Locher family brewery in Appenzell since 1999. The whisky began with very old wooden casks found in the brewery's cellars, which had held beer over more than a century of brewing, and Säntis still matures its whiskies in these former beer casks, using spring water from the Alpstein. Sigel is bottled at 40%.
Nose. Very fruity and approachable: ripe pear, floury apple and lively citrus, with caramel and creamy vanilla. The beer cask shows as a faint note of beer foam and gentle hops, over malt, fine wood spice and a hint of herbs.
Palate. Lively and full, with a big basket of juicy fruit carried by creamy vanilla and wood spice. Spicy hop touches, herbal notes and maltiness sit on a fine oak frame.
Finish. Long and rich, with spice, fruity sweetness and those herbal, hoppy cask notes. Browse our wider whisky range.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
