Tasting note
Luxardo Original Maraschino Cherries in a 5.6kg catering tin, made by the Luxardo family at Torreglia in the Veneto.
These are the cherries that ruined every bright red cocktail cherry for everyone who has tried them. Luxardo uses its own Marasca cherries, from what the company states is the largest cherry orchard in the European Union, and candies them in marasca syrup rather than bleaching and dyeing them. The result is dark, firm and only just sweet, with a genuine sour-cherry bitterness behind it. Girolamo Luxardo founded the firm in Zadar in 1821; it moved to Torreglia after the Second World War.
Bar size. One goes in an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan, and the syrup is worth keeping.
Delivery information
Most orders leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
