Tasting note
Molène is the French name for mullein, and Domaine du Bollenberg, an independent Alsace wine estate, turns those flowers into a clear spirit. The estate draws it at 50% so that the white spirit keeps every nuance of the flower's fragrance.
Appearance. Translucent, with pale, almost see through highlights.
Nose. A lovely expression of exotic fruit.
Palate. A fine, lively attack, subtle and steady lychee flavours, and a finish led by liquorice root.
Bollenberg recommends serving it very cold, at about 3°C. Explore more fruit and flower spirits in our eau de vie collection.
