Tasting note
Williams pears picked in the height of summer go into this eau de vie from Distillerie Metté, the Ribeauvillé distillery in Alsace that Jean-Paul Metté founded in the 1960s.
Method. The pears ferment naturally, then are distilled twice in copper pot stills. The spirit is not chill filtered and rests in stainless steel, at least a year, before it is bottled at 42% in a 500 ml bottle.
Tasting. Crystal clear. The nose is pure and refined, like very ripe pears and juice straight from the press. On the palate it is harmonious and textured, with the grainy, juicy feel of the fruit itself, and the finish is bright and lasting.
Serving. Metté recommends 13°C in a tulip glass, after dinner. Find other fruit spirits in our eau de vie collection.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
