Tasting note
Absente Fluo is a lighter absinthe liqueur from Distilleries et Domaines de Provence in Forcalquier, bottled at 26%. Its signature is a natural glow: thanks to riboflavin, it fluoresces under black light.
The plants. Absinthe (wormwood), mugwort, southernwood, green anise, lemon balm and peppermint.
Tasting. A powerful absinthe nose with citrus, wood and a touch of mint. On the palate it balances sweet and bitter, led by absinthe, and finishes long, fresh and woody.
Serving. Serve it cold over crushed ice or mix it into cocktails. The distillery suggests pairing it with mint, bergamot, basil, Sichuan pepper or strawberry.
