Tasting note
The J.M X.O is an aged rhum agricole from Martinique, carrying the AOC Martinique designation. It is column distilled and then aged six years in oak, in barrels that previously held bourbon, and J.M describes its profile as spiced and powerful.
How it is aged. It spends five years in re-charred bourbon barrels, then a final year in barrels of different sizes and toasts. That places it in the six year old category, a step towards the house's 10 and 15 year rums.
In the glass. Golden. The nose is rich with candied fruit, including candied orange zest, dried fig, date and prune, quince jam and the honey, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla of gingerbread. The palate is complex and round, echoing the candied and dried fruit, with a sweet note of tonka bean.
Pairing. J.M's cellar master Capucine Kuperminc suggests it alongside a cigar, with a seafood platter, or flambéed over a rum baba. More from the distillery is in our J.M rum collection.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
