J.M Rum Vieux Canopee Carafe 46% 700ml

In the evergreen Macouba on Martinique, Rhum J.M is one of the few distilleries in the world that distills Rhum Agricole. 
The small traditional business follows the strict regulations of the“Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée”. How to meet such high standards of production and enjoyment has been passed down at Rhum J.M since 1845 - right up to “Maître de chai” Karine Lassalle, who is now responsible for the diverse product range of the Antilles distillery.
 
In order to preserve the green paradise on its doorstep and minimize environmental impact, Rhum J.M founded the sustainability initiative EDDEN (Engagés pour le Développement Durable de nos Ecosystèmes et de notre Nature). Canopée is a reflection of this commitment. The Rhum Agricole Hors d'Âge is a cuvée made from six-year-old rums . At 46%vol. It takes the senses from smoky wood to dates, dried figs and plums to cocoa beans and sweet spices.

• Nose: clear fruity aromas of dates, plums and dried figs, then becoming spicier with slight hints of wood smoke

• Palate: mouth-filling and soft in taste - the fruits again at the beginning, then cocoa beans and sweet spices are added

• Finish: long, very soft finish - fruity and spicy tones in harmony
