Tasting note
Méry Melrose is a Cognac producer, and this is its red Pineau des Charentes, certified organic and made under the Pineau des Charentes appellation. Pineau is the traditional aperitif of the Cognac vineyards, a blend of grape juice and cognac that usually spends about two years in cask.
For the red, the must comes mainly from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is married with young cognac and aged in oak barrels.
Tasting. A lovely ruby colour, with cherry, raspberry and red fruit on the nose. The palate is sweet, generous and summery.
Serving. Chill it to 8 to 10 °C. It suits the aperitif hour, a place at the table or your favourite cocktail, and the house pairs it with Charentais melon, fresh goat's cheese, chocolate tart or Christmas cake. Store the bottle standing up, and once opened keep it corked in the fridge. Bottled at 16.5%. Similar styles are in our mistelles collection.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
