Old Perth PX Edition Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Old Perth scotch whisky was a lost blend that was originally created by the fiercely proud Perthshire family, the Thomsons in 1908. It was the family’s blender, Peter Thomson who originally produced the 'Old Perth' blend. In homage to Peter every box of Old Perth carries his family’s name.

One of Scotland’s oldest whisky families, the Morrisons (formerly of Morrison Bowmore Distillers), purchased the Old Perth brand and brought the legacy back to life for all to enjoy.

The Old Perth PX Limited Edition blended scotch whisky was initially matured in ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez (PX) sherry casks, before being finished for 15 months in first-fill ex-PX Sherry butts sourced from Bodega José y Miguel Martin. The resulting whisky is rich, chewy and intense.

Total production for this Limited Release was 7,800 bottles, with only a fraction of this number making its way to Australian shores.

Expect a velvety texture with raisings, dates and candied fruits, leading into dark chocolate and cocoa.
