Tasting note
La Salamandre, the distillery at Sarlat in the Périgord, makes this plum liqueur by steeping two fruits, mirabelles and Ente plums, in plum eau de vie that it distils itself. A sugar syrup then softens it. The house adds no artificial flavouring, colouring or preservative, so the amber colour and the taste both come from the time the fruit spends in the spirit.
At 20% it is less than half the strength of a plum eau de vie, and it drinks that way: generous, smooth and openly fruity, without the warmth of a brandy.
How to serve. The distillery pours it well chilled or over ice, before a meal or after one. A dash turns a glass of dry white wine into a plum kir, and in the kitchen it lifts a fruit salad, vanilla ice cream or a yoghurt cake.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
