The Whisky Cellar Strathisla 10 Year Old Scotch Malt Whisky

The Whisky Cellar is an Edinburgh-based independent Scotch Whisky bottler, selecting casks from its private stock at the peak of their character. Founded by Keeper of the Quaich, Keith Bonnington, Keith searches far and wide for casks showing exceptional complexity of flavour and length on the palate.

The Whisky Cellar Strathisla 2012 10 Year Old single malt scotch whisky is a single cask (ex-first-fill bourbon cask 1883) bottling from the series 6 out-turn from Edinburgh based Independent Bottler, The Whisky Cellar. A full-maturation in ex-bourbon has added plenty of vanilla and oak spice to this brilliant single cask release of Strathisla single malt scotch whisky.

Strathisla Distillery is considered the 'home of Chivas Regal', with it's fruity but richly textured single malt being a vital component to the CB blends. The distillery is also considered one of the most picturesque in Scotland.

Expect fruity malt, with notes of apple tarte tartin, shortbread, lemon blossom, vanilla, oak spice and glace cherries.

The cask produced 254bottles (with 24 coming to Australia) at a natural cask strength of 53.4% ABV.
