Tasting note
Macvin du Jura is the Jura's traditional mistelle, and this white Macvin comes from Domaine Jacques Tissot in Arbois. It is two-thirds fresh grape juice and one-third destemmed marc brandy aged for more than four years.
Tasting. Intense, bright golden yellow. A powerful nose of mirabelle plum, prunes, caramel and currants. The palate is rich and powerful, closing on sweetness, with candied and dried fruit throughout.
Serving. Chill to 5 to 8°C. Tissot suggests it with melon, foie gras, sweet and savoury pairings, gingerbread, vanilla ice cream with currants, or caramelised fruit desserts. It will cellar for 10 to 25 years.
How it is made. The grapes are picked by hand and pressed pneumatically. After 18 hours of settling, the juice is blended with Jura marc brandy that has aged for several years, and the Macvin then spends at least 36 months in 600-litre barrels.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
