Tasting note
Monmousseau Brut Etoile is a traditional-method sparkling wine from Touraine in the Loire Valley, made from chenin blanc with chardonnay.
The house was founded in 1886 and ages its wines in about fifteen kilometres of former limestone quarries, the same stone that built the chateaux of the Loire, where the temperature sits steady at around twelve degrees. The wines take their second fermentation in bottle, the same method used in Champagne, and rest horizontally on their lees for well over a year. Chenin blanc is the Loire's own white grape, and it brings a firmer acidity and a more orchard-fruited character than chardonnay alone.
Serve properly cold, as an aperitif or with oysters, goat's cheese or fried food.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
