An exceptional French aperitif.  For three generations, the Drouin family has been passionate about cider apples which they transform in several ways. through rangers of cider, Pommeau, Calvados, and Gin. Inspired by French knowledge of vermouth production, Guillaume Drouin is looking for ways to transfer these production methods to the world of apples in the production of a new aperitif. After several years of experimentation and research, synthesizing the production methods of Pommeau de Normandie and those of Vermouth, he created the ‘ABC de Christian Drouin’, an aperitif based on Calvados. The art of ABC production combines the maturation of an apple must with a young calvados, its aging in oak barrels, and its aromatization with a bouquet of plants and spiced, such a Quinquina, Mugwort, Cinnamon, orange, elderflower and yuzu.  ABC offers an intense bouquet of flavours, mixing aromas of apple and spices. Best enjoyed over ice or mixed in cocktails.

Distilled in 1970, this Calvados Pays d'Auge has matured in oak casks so far. Double distillation in a copper pot still. This Calvados was aged in former sherry casks. Amber robe, nose typical of spirits aged in Oloroso casks, with honey and brown sugar aromas. Full-bodied, rich and lasting on the palate.

The youth of the Pays d'Auge.Produced in the Pays d'Auge from bitter, bitter-sweet, sweet and sharp cider apples by double distillation in copper stills, Réserve des Fiefs is a blend of several Calvados mostly aged in small used oak casks.It offers a harmonious balance between the dominant fruit fragrance and the first spicy notes.

For 30 years now, Christian Drouin Calvados has been distributed in Italy by Velier, the largest Italian spirits specialist. From these years of collaboration was born a sincere friendship between Luca Gargano, Christian and Guillaume Drouin.In 2004, Luca discovered Caroni in Trinidad and Tobago, during one of his travels in the Caribbean, the forgotten stocks of a large state distillery founded in 1918 and closed in 2003. Caroni rums are among the most original heavy rums in the world, marked by notes of tapenade, pencil lead, petrol or even leather.In 2020, Guillaume Drouin imagined a new challenge as exciting as it is demanding for Christian Drouin's Experimental range and asked Luca if he could find him some empty barrels of these rums. Six barrels of Caroni 1996 were soon housed in the Daniel Flambard cellar in Pont l'Evêque and filled with a 17-year-old Calvados Pays d'Auge.«We had to find a Calvados that was powerful and structured enough to support the aromatics of these old Caroni casks. I usually push the reductions of our Calvados quite far to find the best degrees of balance, but for this Caroni Angels it seemed clear that the chosen Calvados needed to be maintained at a higher degree. After maturing for 8 months in these casks, the balance seemed to me to have been reached and Caroni Angels was bottled at 48.8%.vol.» Tasting Notes:On the nose, the aromas of roasted apple and dried apricot blend into expressions of leather, petroleum and brown sugar. The mouth retains the liveliness and freshness of Calvados on the attack before revealing all its amplitude, richness and length. Toasted, smoky and baked apple notes intertwine on the finish.

Guillaume Drouin has created this hand-crafted Gin using the art of blending developed for classic spirits. It is produced by distillation of ciders in three small Normandy copper pot stills, and by the distillation of Juniper and seven other aromatic plants typical of the world of Calvados. Each one is distilled separately before being blended in unique proportions for a batch of 2,850 bottles. This gin is in fact a cider apple eau-de-vie from Normandy in which juniper berries, ginger, vanilla, lemon, cardamom, cinnamon, rose petals and almonds have been macerated. Remarkably well-balanced, it simultaneously reveals finesse and incredible aromatic precision. Proud of its Normandy roots, the nose opens with wafts of apple. Little by little, it becomes liquorice-inspired, herbaceous (juniper) and peppery. Full of energy, the opening on the palate is floral (apple blossom) and fruity (raspberry, blackcurrants). Based on its experience for aging Eau de Vie, the Drouin family has decided to age a limited volume of its Gin. A few former calvados casks of 225 liters have been selected to age a base of Le Gin de Christian Drouin. After 6 months in the casks, "Le Gin de Christian Drouin calvados cask finish" is rounder, more complex, with even more obvious apple flavors. Christian Drouin Gin is prepared as superb blended spirit. The perfect proportions of each ingredient, its balance, its elegance and its complexity allow it to be drunk straight or with ice. Calvados Christian Drouin keeps exploring new flavour associations. After launching Le Gin de Christian Drouin in 2015, the only Gin elaborated using over 30 varieties of cider apples and 7 aromatic spices, carefully selected for their perfect match with apple and juniper aromas, Guillaume Drouin signs a new blend devoted to red berries. The same principles have presided the making of Carmina as they did for the original version of Le Gin: each aromatic ingredient is macerated and then separately distilled to optimize the extraction of aromas. The distillates are then assembled before bottling.   Carmina has a summer-like bouquet. It mixes fruit and flowers, using not only juniper and Normandy cider apple varieties but also raspberries, blackcurrants, elder flowers, vanilla, lemon and orange. The packaging of Carmina respects the identity of Le Gin de Christian Drouin; however, the colour code is carmine as a reminder of the domineering aromas of this new gourmet gin with its hints of raspberries and blackcurrants.   Limited edition: only 8550 bottles will be marketed.
