Tasting note
Gabriel Boudier, the family house in Dijon, found the recipe for this gin in its own archives. It dates from the days when France and England kept trading posts in India, and the house calls it a journey from London to Pondicherry. Boudier became one of the few French gin specialists after the Second World War, when it supplied gin to the American army in Europe.
Seven botanicals go into the family copper still together: juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, angelica, iris and fennel. That concentrated distillate is then blended with an infusion of genuine saffron threads from Crocus sativus, the eighth botanical, and diluted to 40%. It pours a deep, coppery orange.
Aroma. Juniper, fennel and citrus.
Palate. Smooth and finely spiced, with a gently woody juniper note carrying into a very persistent finish.
Spicy saffron set against the elegant bitterness of juniper is the whole idea here. Its signature serve is the Saffron Gin and Tonic, and it makes a base for plenty of other cocktails. More in our gin collection.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
