Tasting note
Maurin Quina is famous for the grinning green devil that poster artist Léon Cappiello drew for it in 1906, and he still smirks from the bottle today. The wine-based aperitif itself was first made in 1884 in Le Puy-en-Velay and is now part of the Vedrenne range.
What is in it. White wine with wild cherries, cinchona bark, lemon and cherry juice, giving a deep red drink with the sour black cherry and sweet almond character the house describes.
Tasting. A fruity bouquet of wild cherry opens onto a round palate of cherry and lemon with a light touch of almond, then floral notes and a firm, bitter, earthy finish that lingers.
Serving. Vedrenne recommends it well chilled over ice, and it suits Negroni-style cocktails. It is also good lengthened with soda and a twist. This is the one litre bottle; see more in our aperitif collection.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
