This wine shows the Cramant terroir at its best during its youth, oozes freshness, showing at once great acidity and balanced dosage enabling aromas to express themselves freely. Very pale bright colour with fine yet intense citrus and white flower aromas. Great length in the mouth finishing on fresh and mineral notes with suppleness and balance. This Blanc de Blancs is full of character and natural elegance, with great depth and minerality. It finishes on a rich note.

’The NV Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut is a clear, fresh and chalky Chardonnay from Cramant in the Côte des Blancs that opens with lovely intense and soft white fruit aromas. It is a mouth-filling, very elegant and finessed Cramant with highly digestible balance and stimulating lightness in alcohol (12%). The finish is charmingly round and fruity but also has the typical chalky texture that gives it perfect balance. This is an excellent cuvée with a delicate, salty, well-structured finish. I didn't see a lot number on the label nor on the bottle, but this should be a pretty fresh disgorgement and is mainly based on the 2013 vintage, as Jean-Emmanuel Bonnaire told me. After a dry winter and an initially cold month of March, spring temperatures above average favored early budding and premature flowering. From mid-May to early June, the weather was mostly rainy and humid. In the subsequent ripening phase, rainfall was normal, with few heat peaks with concomitant short periods of drought. Throughout the summer the nights were characterized by a pleasant coolness. The harvest began in early September and until mid-October was repeatedly interrupted by single rainy days, luckily alternating with prolonged periods of sunshine. White wines are fresh, with an intense olfactory profile. The red wines, of great finesse and elegance, indicate a great aging potential.
Monogram Blanc de Blancs Franciacorta

This traditional sparkling wine is made in Franciacorta DOCG which is located in the heart of Lombardy (North Italy). The producer is the Monogram winery, which in turn is part of Castel Faglia. This Franciacorta Brut Blanc de Blancs is made from 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir grapes. The harvest takes place mid-August, exclusively manually, after which the grapes are transported in crates and then pressed gently. Primary fermentation 80% in stainless steel barrels and 20% in small oak barrels. Secondary fermentation in the bottle (classical method), followed by a maturation of 24 months.
This delicious bubble has a beautiful straw yellow color with green highlights and has beautiful rich aromas of exotic fruit and citrus fruits. Abundant mousse with a refined and persistent perlage. The taste is rich, soft and balanced with a strong freshness. Advice: drink this wine cool (preferably between 4 and 6 degrees).
This Blanc de Blancs is excellent as an aperitif and also tastes great with various fish species (oysters, caviar, raw fish) and white meat. Made with the same grapes as a champagne and also the same production process is used here.
