Tasting note
Reid + Reid, craft distillers in Martinborough, New Zealand, made this bitter aperitivo as a Kiwi take on the Italian classic. It is bottled at 25%.
Fourteen botanicals go into it, a mix of fruits, seeds, leaves and roots. Gentian root, angelica root, orange and hibiscus sit alongside manuka and kawakawa.
Tasting. Herbal and a little dusty on the nose, with aromatic citrus and red fruit. The palate is bittersweet and the finish turns savoury.
Using it. Treat it as your red bitter in a Negroni or an Americano, build a spritz with it, or keep things simple with tonic or soda over ice. More bitter and pre-dinner bottles are in our aperitifs collection.

"Bitters" means two different things: dash bottles used a few drops at a time, and bitter liqueurs poured by the glass.

Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
