The Whisky Cellar Secret Islay 14 Year Old Scotch Malt Whisky
The Whisky Cellar is an Edinburgh-based independent Scotch Whisky bottler, selecting casks from its private stock at the peak of their character. Founded by Keeper of the Quaich, Keith Bonnington, Keith searches far and wide for casks showing exceptional complexity of flavour and length on the palate.
The Whisky Cellar Secret Islay 2008 14 Year Old single malt scotch whisky is a single cask (ex-refill bourbon cask #67) bottling from the series 6 out-turn from Edinburgh based Independent Bottler, The Whisky Cellar. Keith Bonnington hand selected this cask as 'a real showcase of the Islay style'. From an undisclosed distillery, and certainly rumours abound as to the source distillery; with confidence we would suggest it starts with an "L".
Expect a textural whisky, creamy if-not oily on the palate, giving incredible length on the finish. The sweet malt is intensified by the vanilla from the refill bourbon cask, balancing the earthy bonfire peat smoke, with intense cracked black pepper spice.
The cask produced 257 bottles (with 24 coming to Australia) at a natural cask strength of 54.7% ABV.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended unless you have given an authority to leave.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
