Tasting note
Henri Vallet left France for Mexico in the 1860s and by the 1880s was a leading distiller of liqueurs and elixirs in Mexico City. Amargo-Vallet is one of his recipes, still made to his formulation today.
It is a bitter liqueur of angostura bark with a maceration of cherries, cloves and other roots and spices, bottled at 45% (90 proof). Its herbal character carries notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and citrus peel over an earthy, rich base.
Angostura Sour. The brand's own recipe, adapted by Forrest Cokely from a Charles H. Baker Jr. idea: 30 ml Amargo-Vallet, 30 ml orgeat, 22 ml lemon juice and 22 ml bourbon. Shake with ice, strain, shake again without ice, then fine strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
