Tasting note
Nosferatu Distillery set out to bottle a pavlova, and Giselle is the result. It takes its name from Giselle, the ballet the dancer Anna Pavlova famously performed, and it sits at 37.5%.
How it is built. The starting point is Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin, made with the distillery's three-stage orange infusion and distillation, Albanian juniper and an unusual pinch of fenugreek. Once that gin is distilled, pure vanilla, burnt sugar and a double cream essence are added. It is made in small batches.
What it tastes like. Meringue and cream with plenty of vanilla, then toffee and a caramelised, slightly burnt crust on the finish. Only the pavlova base, in other words, with the fruit left for you to add. Juniper keeps it recognisably a gin.
Serving. Sip it straight, or top it with a light tonic and drop in a fresh strawberry; or, if you are feeling brave, swap the tonic for soda water. Any fruit you would put on a pavlova will do as a garnish. The distillery also suggests it alongside pavlova or a fresh fruit tart, where a little fresh acidity balances its sweetness. Free delivery on orders over $499, anywhere in Australia except the Northern Territory, which we do not deliver to. Standard rates apply below that and are calculated at checkout.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
